Week 2
As we begin the second week of school we are hoping to see all the students who are late back. They will being with a back-log of work to catch up on. Last week saw Yasmin Santos come back, and Iasmin leaving: we won't have to battle with 3 Yasmins in Unit 3. We also welcomed Raissa who began on Wednesday.
Plans have begun for the trip to England in June/July. We are looking to take a group of students over the age of 16 years. We plan to be visiting universities, tourist sites and the Houses of Parliament and spend some time in the 6th form of a British school.

Another student
Lucas has also joined the year 8 class, bringing enrollment in this class to 14 students. Y8 says goodbye to Liz, Sebastião, Mayara and Yasmin. Unless any of them appear at the last minute!
Y9/10 also says goodbye to Edjane, and Ana-Laura will not be coming full-time - we wait to see if she will come part time.

Welcome Back

The new semester begins on 25th January and we expect 41 students in this division of the International School of Amazonas. Year 8 will be moving from Unit 2 to Unit 3. We welcome teacher Hananda, a recent Biology graduate who will be teaching many science classes in Unit 3. Also new students: Gonçalo, Anderson, Mariana, Mario Lucas, Sumiê e Iasmin. We say goodbye to Priscila, Greyce (now a classroom assistant in Unit 1), Jessica Ale and Thiago (we think).
The aim of this blogsite is to keep teachers, parents, students and interested people informed on the year's events in Unit 3. Please give any comments to Dr Pamela and help me to make it a useful blog for everyone.
